Thank you Johan and Aliaa for trusting me to capture your graduation day. Congratulations, again!.

Event Details:
Event : Johan and Aliaa’s Graduation Day.
Date : 23rd July 2010.
Location : The University of Sheffield.

Kami makan besar tadi. Meraikan ulangtahun yang pertama. This time at a Turkish restaurant just down the street. I had a plate full of mixed kebab. MSO had the delicious spare ribs of lamb (kaburga). Nothing beats a day out with MSO. Lunch date and a movie were just about right.

Time went by so fast that I can still hear abah trying to fix the mic feedback the night before akad. The worry look on my Ma’s face trying to get things laid out so neatly. The smell of fresh paste of inai that I forced my sisters to draw around my fingers while I took a quick nap. That brings me back.

I still can’t believe that I am the one that gets to be with him. I have a man who thinks I rock. Who makes me feel important and needed. Who knocks me off my clumsy feet. Who never fails to give me a huge smile seconds after he wakes up in the morning. Just because he knows that it gets me going. Happy anniversary, Hun! Setahun dah, Alhamdulillah.

And Oh! I couldn’t thank you enough for commenting on the previous entry. Numbers are small, but full with kind thoughts and ideas! I was so excited to read through every bit of it. Thanks so much!

I’d love to get to know a few things from FYMSO Blog readers! Yes, all 3 of you. I’m just curious to know who you are and how you see the blog. I am all for making a better blog for myself and the readers.

  1. What age group (10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50+) | occupation (job, wahm, wahd, sahm, sahd, student, etc.) | gender (female/male) | family status (single, married, mom, dad, etc.) are you?
  2. What do you like to see more in the blog? Tutorials (insert type of tutorial), personal anecdotes, more pictures of any kind, doodles, a good mix of all the above? Or none of it all? If you have other things in mind, feel free to jot it down.
  3. There’s always room for improvement. I am open for suggestions to make FYMSO Blog better so hit me with your good points!

Anonymous comments are welcome only if you keep it clean as a whistle. I appreciate the time it took to answer all of the questions. Thank you!

Can you tell which movie that prompted me to do this for breakfast? I’ll give you a hint, it starts with the letter V. Although, it looks nothing like what was in the movie! But it’s the closest that I can get to it.

We just saw the movie the other night and thought of giving it a try. Easy peasy recipe. Very buttery. Here’s how to do it.

1. Butter both sides of a piece of thick bread.
2. Cut a hole in the middle, using a cookie cutter or glass.
3. Drop a small bit of butter into a skillet on low heat.
4. Place bread in the skillet.
5. Give it a few moments, and put 1 egg into the middle of the hole.
6. When the egg begins to set, flip.
7. Keep flipping until the egg is done the way you want.
8. Keep the heat on low.
9. As a slight variation, you can put a slice of your favorite cheese about a minute before it’s done cooking. Do not flip once you’ve put the cheese on.

This is also known as an Egg in a Frame (in the southern parts of America), Toad In The Hole, or One Eyed Toast. Taken from the egg in a basket, an egg in a frame is the same thing, just without cheese.
